Our Approach

Were a child centred setting that encourages children to develop their conīŦdence, curiosity and independence in a safe. happy and relaxed environment. We provide a stimulating environment where the children have lots of opportunities to explore a wide range of equipment and resources along with effective adult support which allows the children to explore, investigate and enjoy teaming. Play helps children to understand the world around them and to develop socially and emotionally. It is through play that our children learn. develop at their own pace and have fun with adults who understand, support and care.

The 4 key priorities of the Early Years Foundation Stages are play is at the heart of EYFS. Children need to play to have fun and begin to understand the world around them. The welfare and safety of children is paramount. Parents should be kept up to date with what their children are doing and be encouraged to get involved. Each child should be allocated a key person and should be encouraged, but allowed to develop at their own pace and in their own way.

The principles are based on four key themes

A unique child - every child is a competent learner from birth who can be resilient, capable, confident and self

Positive relationships - Children learn to be strong and independent from a base of loving and secure
relationships with parents and or a key person

Enabling environments - The environment plays a key role in supporting and extending children's
development and learning

Learning and development - Children develop and Iearn in different ways and at different rates, all areas of learning and development are equally important and interconnected.
